E-CAST project aims to introduce a new technological improvements in the processes of plastic injection. Wants to develop and use systems and mechatronics, embedded systems in these processes. Thus aims to ensure that the tools are no longer passive elements to achieve improved efficiency in the whole cycle.
Tools will become the active elements connected with the process and integrated knowledge. And all elements of the process can be monitored and corrected in real time.

The tool will be the connection to the flow of knowledge, and knowledge integrated into these molds to store the know-how managed by technical and exploit this knowledge more efficiently, In conclusion, is meant to mold getting smarter.
Duration: twenty-four months
Total subsidy granted to all partners: 102.382 €.
